Vacant Property Security

Steel Doors: key and keyless operated

Clearway Services Steel Security Doors
When a property becomes vacant, and is likely to remain so for some time, it will need protecting from vandals, thieves, squatters and other unwanted intruders.

Attempted break-ins through doors are commonplace and a standard door, even with multiple locks fitted, is no match for a determined intruder or group of squatters hell-bent on taking possession of the property.

The solution is a temporary steel door that can be installed quickly, causing no damage to the existing frame, and is designed specifically to provide permanent resistance to high-impact assault and/or repeated attempts at intrusion, but there’s a problem.

Every available temporary security door contains weaknesses either in the quality of the overall physical construction and materials used, in how much effort was put into protecting the vulnerable points of access such as hinges, locks and locking mechanisms or even in the way it’s fitted to an existing opening.

In 2011 Clearway changed everything by designing and building its temporary steel doors from the ground up, with only security and protection against intruders in mind. The result was two options; a key-operated door and a keyless door. The Clearway Keyless Toreadoor was the first of its kind to be accredited to the LPS1175 standard, receiving UK Police & Insurance approval.

Key-operated steel door:

Manufactured from heavy-duty plate steel to our exacting design and specification, these doors are designed to be securely installed in any size door-opening.

  • Purpose design & built
  • Secured from the inside in order to cause little or no damage to existing door frame

These steel doors provide a cost-effective and secure solution  and are ideal where authorised personnel have easy access to keys.

Keyless steel door:

The Clearway Keyless Toreadoor was designed, manufactured and tested to the rigorous LPS1175 standard giving it Police & Insurance approval and remains unique in its class.

Features include:

  • Keyless access via unique 5-digit code

Keyless temporary steel doors

A replacement steel door provides an obvious physical barrier against unwanted intruders but the Clearway Keyless Toreadoor provides security, reliability and protection that is unmatched in the industry.

Taken from the Spanish word ‘Toreador’, literally “to fight a bull”, the Clearway Keyless Toreadoor incorporates a range of security features simply not available on any other product. It was designed from the ground-up to address the weaknesses all other doors exhibit and it is for this reason it remains the only Police & Insurance approved temporary steel door available.

In addition, the The Clearway Keyless Toreadoor has received the acclaimed Secured by Design accreditation; a UK Police preferred specification which supports the principles of ‘designing out crime’ to reduce the risk of crime through design excellence.

The strict testing processes involved in receiving each of these certificates means the Clearway Keyless Toreadoor replacement steel door is insurance approved and therefore suitable for all at-risk premises.
