Charity work
We feel it’s important to put something back into the communities in which we work. We pride ourselves on our record as an employer– we feel our recruitment policy makes a real contribution to social welfare.
• Whenever possible, we clean up and recycle any furniture or appliances recovered during our work and pass these on to homeless charities.
• We have been actively involved in the Mayor of Dartford's Lollipop appeal and we’re proud to have taken part in a five-a-side football tournament organised by Dartford Borough Council.
• Our business sponsorships include the RSPCA, the WSPA and various children’s charities.
Employment
• We recruit from local communities and take on young people from challenged backgrounds and those who may find it difficult to receive employment elsewhere.
• Our staff benefit from extensive investment in training and management.
• A strong teamwork ethic is promoted through our hands-on management team, many of whom are ex-Armed Forces.
• We are committed to the ongoing career development of all our employees.
• Staff safety is one of our primary concerns – we ensure everyone has uniforms and personal protection equipment that are compliant with British Safety Standards
• All staff are fully trained in dealing with health and safety issues.
• Whilst all our staff members are carefully vetted, Clearway’s strict policy is to provide equal opportunities and to employ people whatever their sex, colour or religion.
Company history
Clearway started 15 years ago, offering specialist environmental services to local authorities, and has since grown to become the market leader with nationwide coverage.
In 2004 we established Clearway Asset Protection (CAP) to meet the demands from our customers to protect empty buildings and sites. This now enables us to offer the complete package of services as a single-source supplier for housing and property management.
Today, due to the ever-increasing demand for our services, we have offices throughout the UK.
Our guiding principle is one of continual improvement through development. All elements of our business are transparent – we actively invite independent external scrutiny – and perform within the highest industry standards including ISO 9001:2000 accreditation, Exor, Constructionline and Save contractor.
