Are Clearway Services fully insured?
Yes, we have £10 million employers liability insurance and £5 million public liability insurance and additional indemnity (copies available on request).

Does Clearway Services offer an out-of-hours service?
Yes, we operate a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week service for our clients, which include police forces, local authorities, housing associations and private customers. We have even been asked to attend suicides on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Do Clearway Service staff carry id cards?
Yes, all staff carry a detailed ID card and wear a Clearway uniform including trousers, T-shirt, jumper and jacket that all carry the Company logo and it is a disciplinary offence to not carry the ID card or to wear a full Clearway uniform.

Are Clearway Services staff discreet and sensitive if the situation requires it?
As one of our main services is attending after undiscovered deaths and scenes of trauma, our staff are very familiar with this type of work and have many years of experience in dealing with distraught clients and sensitive situations.

How can Clearway Services be contacted after hours?
Our main office hours are 7am to 7pm and thereafter an answer service is available, giving an out-of-hours service emergency number.

If you are called out on an emergency job, what is the response time?
Depending on time of call and location, our average time is between 20 minutes and 2 hours.

Does Clearway Services collect fridges?
Yes, and all paperwork can be provided to confirm they have been disposed of at an approved and licensed waste station in accordance with current legislation.

Does Clearway Services unblock/clean bin chutes?
Yes, we are able to unblock and clean chutes, no matter how many floors. We use specialist equipment, including a high-pressure steam cleaner that contains a rotary spinner which is lowered down the chute, cleaning every inch of the chute including hoppers and bin storage areas.

Does Clearway Services clean HIV/TB and other medically affected properties?
Yes, we have specialist chemicals for different types of diseases which are all hospital-grade cleaners/sanitizers. All COSH information about any chemicals we use can be provided on request with a data sheet.

Can you clear gardens?
Yes, we can clear, strim, cut back all small trees, bushes, foliage, brambles, etc and also leave gardens in a tidy and manageable condition. This service is often used to improve re-let times of vacant property.

Can you clear sharps/body fluids, etc?
Yes, we are fully licensed and insured to remove and dispose of hazardous waste, i.e. sharps, faeces, blood, body fluids, etc.

Can you remove graffiti?
Yes, we can clear most types of graffiti and any stubborn marks can be repainted. We can even apply anti-graffiti coating to reduce future problems.

Do you hold a waste carriers licence?
Yes, one which is issued by The Environment Agency (copy available on request).

Are you a registered company?
Yes, we have a full Certificate of Incorporation (copy available on request).

What if I am not completely satisfied with the work?
Clearway Services will return free of charge to re-do any areas you are not entirely happy with. (We are rarely called back.)

Can one team carry out the necessary work or do you need to arrange separate contractors for each area of work?
Clearway staff are trained in all aspects of the services we offer and therefore one team can clear, clean, fumigate and secure a property, even including strimming the garden.

What paperwork can I expect to receive from you prior to work commencing?
We will supply written quotations, including method statements and risk assessments, within 24 hours.

Are you members of any trade bodies and do you have any additional accreditations?
We have more recognised accreditations than any of our competitors. Our accreditations include ISO 9000:2001, BPCA, Constructionline, Exor, Health & Safety People, Safe Contractor, etc. As a company, we are always looking to evaluate and improve our service and standards through continual development, and we welcome outside bodies to review our practices.

If a property is in such a poor state that the bathroom and kitchen areas are beyond cleaning, are you able to take them out without the need for a third-party contractor?
Yes, all our teams are trained to remove kitchens and bathrooms and to cap off the mains water to enable contractors to carry out work immediately, which reduces down-time on empty properties.
