CLEARWAY TRUCKS GO GREEN
Posted on: October 2011
Clearway Environmental Services, one of the UK’s leading vacant property security and services providers, has begun its 2012 fleet replacement programme with the purchase of Mercedes ECO-Start Sprinter vans.
The company switched to the Mercedes van during the summer of 2011 because of its superior safety standards and exceptional environmental benefits which supports Clearway’s continued efforts to reduce the fleet’s carbon footprint.
Clearway has worked closely with Sparshatts Mercedes Benz and Essex Bodies to produce an efficient, eco friendly truck capable of meeting the strenuous demands of their customers. The new tipper bodies feature a unique hydraulic side lift to make the lifting of heavy items a thing of the past. Clearway are leaders in their field and are always looking at new and innovative ways to improve productivity and efficiency. By embracing new technology Clearway reduce their carbon footprint and also improve operational efficiency.
Michael, Fleet Operations Manager at Clearway said: “With our 2011 fleet replacement programme well underway, we are ensuring the business continues to have a safe, fuel efficient fleet to help meet all workload requirements. However, we believe our responsibility does not end once the new vehicles have been delivered. It is essential that our employees are educated in proper vehicle operation to ensure that Clearway gain the maximum benefits of the ECO-Start technology. The fleet team here at Clearway works actively to provide this training.”
