SOLO ALARM POLICE APPROVED

Posted on: October 2011

Clearway has been awarded the coveted ACPO Secured by Design approval for its Solo Vacant/Void Property Alarm.

Clearway has met the stringent security standards required by Secured by Design (SBD), an initiative devised by the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) that aims to reduce crime through effective system design.

The Clearway Solo Alarm has been designed to operate in the sparse conditions typical in most empty properties, with robust construction combined with wireless GSM connection to a central monitoring centre. The alarm can be installed and operational in minutes, ensuring that high risk properties can be secured on a same day basis. Demonstrable functionality combined with client testimony ensured that the product passed the rigorous evaluation prior to being accepted for SBD status.

Clearway is now able to use the SBD logo that guarantees national police approval of the product, for both its alarm and previously approved Toreadoor temporary security door. The SBD logo provides security specifiers, managers and customers with reassurance that the accredited product meets the highest security standards.

Comment from Gideon Israel, Clearway’s chief executive “Gaining Secured by Design approval for our Solo Vacant Property Alarm is a significant achievement and following as it does the successful approval of our Toreadoor Temporary Security Door it demonstrates our commitment to bringing products to market of the highest standards demanded by the security industry”.
